Christmas Fun

While many are pondering on their detailed menu for Thanksgiving and what flavor of pie they are going to make this year, many are thinking ahead and have Christmas on their minds. Well we are here to help with a few ideas that make fun and personal Holiday gifts for the people that you have NO idea what to buy them. In addition we have fun ideas for decorating the house for The Holidays that can involve the whole family!

Since many have a house full of people over for the Holidays, this is a great way to put them to work. Instead of sitting around and thinking up conversational pieces, give them a conversation piece! Anna Maria has come up with this great handmade garland that adds wonderful flair to the Christmas tree or even draped anywhere you like in the house. Before guests arrive, have all of the circles cut and when everyone is sitting around the house, hardly able to move due to their overeating, bring out this fun project that is easy to teach anyone! Be sure to look at the detailed instructions that Anna Maria provides.

Now for a fun gift that the recipient is sure to enjoy is this very cute
Owl Ornament. This would be an ideal gift for perhaps co-workers that you have no clue as to what to get for them. You can whip up some of these ornaments, attach them to a tin of cookies and you have a very personalized gift that did not take up much time!

Here is another idea that perhaps you have not thought of yet and that is a gift card idea. If you really want to put a personal touch on you Holiday cards, here is just the project for you! Simply get a card stock paper of your color choice and some scrap fabric you have around the house. Cut out any shapes you want and glue them on to the card. Regular glue is fine but if you want to add to it you can always use Mod Podge to glue the fabric on to the card and then use it on top of the fabric as well to add a glazed finished look. Even add a little glitter to sparkle it up! Here is a sample card using fabric from Tanya Whelan's collection Darla and Verna Mosquera's collection Savon Bouquet.

Good Times with the Designers

As promised, we are posting pictures of some of our wonderful designers that were at Quilt Market in Houston, Texas. Now even though they were very serious about making their booths look amazing and displaying their new fabric line in the best way possible, they still managed to have a fun time and mingle with other designers. Along with taking pride in their booths, we were happy to find out that Anna Maria Horner won best booth for the double booth division. This is her second market that she has had her own booth and she has won both times! Very excited and proud of Anna!
